... there was a group of people who decided to put on a show. Not just any show, but a show for kids. And to make the show even better it would star kids.
The show isn’t the first kids production by Rivertown Players, but it is one of the largest.

The show isn’t the first kids production by Rivertown Players, but it is one of the largest. Cinderella has over seventy young adults and I'm sure will be a show to remember.
The performances will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 14, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15. Please mark your calendars and plan to be there. It will be a great show for children of all ages.
Cinderella is played by Afton Benter, a ninth-grader that is home schooled, not only sounds like her with her beautiful soprano voice but has the blond hair and shining eyes to go along with it. Liz Cross is in the ninth grade at East Central High School is the Fairy Godmother and will charm your heart when she and the “Mice Brigade” sing Bibbity- Bobbity- Boo.
The Evil Stepmother is wonderfully acted by Tessa Larimer who will be attending Oldenburg Academy. She has that “Sweet and yet Evil” part to play with her more then strange mix of daughters and Cinderella. The mean Stepsisters are played by Libby Brand a ninth grader at East Central and Megan Pope a ninth grader at Mother of Mercy High School. They are the comic relief in the play as they try to impress the charming Prince at the ball. These five fabulous females lead the largest cast Rivertown Players has ever had. This cast will make you laugh and maybe even bring a tear to your eye.
Tickets went on sale Friday, May 23, and can be ordered by calling the RTP Ticket Hotline at 1-812-532-3078 or by going to our Web site at www.rivertownplayers.org. Your order will be confirmed and the seats are all reserved. The cost is $5 for adults and children. Order yours early cause these are going to go fast. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for Oliver! Friday, July 18, through Sunday, July 20.
