Random Thoughts

You can learn alot from driving around your hometown. For instance, the other day, I was driving through the KMart parking lot and noticed we have a new restaurant in town. It's Korean. Who Knew!

Then, I drive over to Hallmark and the parking lot is completely filled. It's Wednesday night and Church on Fire is packed. I saw their youth group outside, they had like 50 kids (probably jr. & sr. high). It was neat. Then, I saw my favorite waiter from El Mariachi leave the church. It was neat to think my favorite waiter goes to church.

Yesterday........was a crazy day. I had to get up early to take Simba to the vet to get shaved (pictures to come later). So, as I was driving to work, I looked in the mirror and noticed I didn't have any makeup on. I had a small "panicked" thought and thought, oh well, it's not that big a deal. I get to work and NOBODY says anything. I know I work with all men, but let me tell you, if I have one hair out of place, they say something. So I thought, gee, why am I even wearing makeup everyday. I guarantee if there were women in the office, I would have freaked out with no makeup on. Am I wearing makeup for myself or for others????? Good Question???

Hmm...good question. I think I wear makeup for myself. It makes me feel better like a security blanket. It's also like my own tiny art project every morning.

Bedroom Progress!

Well, today I moved back into my bedroom. It's been a long 2 months of sleeping in the living room, but now that I see the finished results, I'm thrilled. Randy is so good it's amazing. I love my new ceiling fan! Here are some shots of my bedding and the wall. I love it. We don't have our furniture back in yet, I'm hoping Randy will let me buy new bedroom furniture, but we have to sell ours first. The bathroom and closet will be next. Well, technically the closet is completely finished, but we still have a few things to do in the bathroom. I'll keep you posted when we finish those areas. I'm just thrilled to be able to sleep in my bedroom again! Yeah! Go Randy!

What God Has Joined Together.....

Today is our 15th Anniversary I can't believe it's been 15 years since I said "I DO", but the road has been one of the best roads that I've ever been on. Randy and I only have God to thank for everything. We are nothing without Christ! I pray that the next 15 years will only deepen our love for each other and our commitment to following Christ's example. On a side note, I am thinking that my crown in heaven is going to be HUGE for living with Randy so long, don't you think??
